Tadika Bethany Montessori kindergarten holds its concert and graduation on the 2nd or 3rd Saturday in October every year. This is the last big event of the year for the school that both the teacher and children prepare for a few months.
The teachers prepare the children for various dances. All the age groups in both schools of United Garden and Sri Sentosa participate and rehearse their dances under the guidance of the teachers. The teachers have to be creative in coming up with dances each year.
The 6-year old children have something additional to look forward to as this is the year they graduate from kindergarten to go to primary school. Therefore, they will participate in the graduation ceremony during the concert, besides performing in the dances. They will each receive a graduation certificate from the principal, Mrs. Sharon Yong.
On the concert day, the teachers will apply makeup on the children who will also be wearing their various costumes necessary for their dances. The parents and siblings of the children wait in anticipation to watch the performance. The photographer is in place to take the individual and group photos. The videoman records the video of the entire concert. This will enable parents to get a copy of the photos and video recording after the concert for their own memories.
Sometimes it is sad to see the children grow up and the 6-years old graduate from kindergarten. All we left are memories from the photos and video. The school always wish the graduating school well.
